Social and environmental benefits
Sustainability
Working with customers, Goodman takes a holistic approach to sustainability – from site selection and design, through to procurement, construction and operation.
As a member of the UK Green Building Council, Goodman is committed to creating sustainable developments which balance environmental, social and economic benefits. All new buildings are designed to be sustainable, energy efficient and reduce carbon emissions, leading to energy, cost and maintenance savings over the lifetime of the building. The industrial estate redevelopment will be delivered to a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard and achieve an EPC ‘A’ rating.
Social value
As well as environmental benefits, our developments are designed to provide value to local communities – either through skills development and job creation, or opportunities for investment and regeneration.
Additionally, by only working with contractors recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme, we are committed to raising standards in the construction industry and promoting positive changes when it comes to the sector’s impact on communities and the environment.
